Reviews

Two drinks, a "Rad Away" medical bag, Fallout Food snacks, and deviled eggs on a table.

Yum Yum Deviled Eggs – $7.99

Coconut panna cotta “eggs” with pineapple whipped ganache and Tajin

Three halved boiled eggs with yellow cream in foil—classic survival food, held outdoors near plants.

These might freak some people out, because the appearance, texture, and mouthfeel definitely suggest eggs, but they are obviously not. The coconut panna cotta and pineapple filling are not overpowering, but work well together.

If you ate these expecting eggs, you would spend the next few minutes very puzzled, but not disgusted. If you come in knowing this is a dessert, you will really enjoy it. They get points for being seriously creative.

Cram Tots & More – $12.99

Thumbs Up chili glazed spam with cheddar tater tot kegs and scallions

A hand holds a tin container of Fallout Food—fried snacks topped with spicy sausage slices and green garnish.

This is fantastic. The spam is delicious and the glaze is spicy. The potato kegs were crispy, soft in the middle, and flavorful as well. Everything about this makes us look forward to apocalypse cuisine.

Pickle Bucket Baked Chicken – $11.99

Buffalo chicken dip with crispy fried pickles

The buffalo sauce is spicy and satisfying. The pickle has a nice crunch and adds a lot of salt to the mix. This is creative, fun, and good.

Radaway Mocktail – $13

Lemonade with chipotle pineapple and spiced brown sugar syrup in a souvenir RadAway bag

This is creative, fun, and not good. Impress your friends with this syrupy, Instagram-worthy drink, and keep the sadness inside. Never let them see you cry. It shows weakness, which you can’t afford in a nuclear apocalypse.

Quantum Mocktail – $9

Sūpāsawā, blue curaçao syrup, exotic citrus syrup, simple syrup, and tonic water

There’s too much going on here. This would probably be better with gin. As it stands, our taste buds were confused and ultimately unsatisfied.

Dark – $18 for 20 oz. souvenir cup | $14 for souvenir refill | $14 for 12 oz. single serving

Planteray OFTD Overproof Rum, Old Forester Bourbon, DeKuyper crème de cassis, Fernet-Branca, and cola soda

We were hoping the addition of alcohol would help here, and if your goal is to get drunk on Overproof Rum and bourbon, we understand. The apocalypse lifestyle can be depressing. But if you want to enjoy your doomed future, stock up on something else and only serve this to ghouls. They don’t have noses and might like it better. The crème de cassis and rum combo is too much for the rest of us.

Overall Thoughts

Three characters in futuristic outfits and a dog stand ready in a desert, like survivors from a Fallout House at Halloween Horror Nights.

There was a missed opportunity here to offer the Ghoul’s jerky (Google it, if you don’t know). Still, all the food items are winners. Just get your drinks at a different booth.
