Walt Disney World has announced an extended guest room refurbishment project that will take place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, starting this October.

According to the notice, guest rooms at Kidani Village will be the first to see refurbishment, from October 2025 through May 2026. After that, rooms at Jambo house will be refurbished from May 2026 through January 2027.


During this refurbishment period, guests may see or hear ongoing construction work in the area while staying at or visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. However, all resort hotel amenities will still be available throughout the refurbishment period.

From October 2025 through May 2026, Guest rooms at Kidani Village at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will undergo refurbishment, followed by refurbishment work at Jambo House from May 2026 through January 2027. During these times, Guests may see or hear construction work in the area. All amenities will remain available throughout the refurbishment.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, which includes Jambo House and Kidani Village, takes inspiration from Africa in its theming and atmosphere. Amenities include views of the savanna where over 200 animals and birds live, pools, and dining locations like Sanaa, Boma – Flavors of Africa, and Jiko – The Cooking Place.
