A new month means a new cookie at Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs. The Cookie Butter Butterscotch Cookie has returned for August 2025.
Gideon’s Bakehouse, where the cookie is sold, is located in The Landing in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort.
The August 2025 menu card features Cassius Sizlecroft, a prince who delivers ominous, yet unhelpful, premonitions. A small biography for the character is printed on the back of the card:
The origins of the enigmatic Prince Cassius Sizlecroft are, like his shoulders, cloaked in mystery. Materializing from the shadows, he appears, delivering ominous premonitions that rarely live up to the grandeur of his collar. Warnings like “you shouldn’t have ordered the fish,” or “your pencil will soon betray you with a splinter” typically leave his subjects more confused than astounded. Oh well, perhaps he is warming up for something spectacular.
Cookie Butter Butterscotch Cookie – $6.50
Gideon’s secret recipe with Biscoff cookie butter, premium butterscotch chips, and crushed Biscoff cookies
Despite the advertised butterscotch flavor, the main thing that comes across with this cookie is Biscoff. The butterscotch is more subtle, but in a disappointing way.
The cookie is sweet without being overwhelming, and it’s perfectly baked and large enough to share with a friend. While we would eat this cookie again, we’re not sure that we would seek it out if there were other options available that we enjoy more.
