In-Person Preview of Food & Beverages at The Beak and Barrel Pirates of the Caribbean Bar

WDWNT was recently able to go inside The Beak and Barrel at the Magic Kingdom for an early media preview, and we got an in-person look at some of the new food and beverage items.

Dimly lit, pirate-themed restaurant inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean Bar, with diners at long tables and a festive bar.

The Beak and Barrel is set to open in Magic Kingdom on August 29, 2025. Reservations for the new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed bar opened earlier this week, and are largely booked through the end of the current dining calendar.

During our preview, we were able to try three of the new beverages, including two non-alcoholic options and the Plunderer’s Punch, which comes in the highly-anticipated first edition pirate skull mug. We also previewed one of the new food items. If you want to see more of the upcoming food and beverage options, Disney released an extended first look video.

Plunderer’s Punch – $46

A skull-shaped mug with a red turban sits on a napkin at Beak and Barrel, a Pirates of the Caribbean Bar.

While the themed lighting inside The Beak and Barrel made our mug appear red, the pirate skull is normally a golden brown color with a red bandana. The actual alcoholic beverage is poured into the top of the skull.

Plunderer’s Punch is a mixture of The Kraken Black Spiced Rum, blackberry, lime, and vanilla. Ours was served cold with ice cubes.

The skull mug is wrapped in a brown box to keep it safe when you take it home. Read our article for more details on the pirate skull mug, including the first edition wordmark on the bottom.

Cursed Treasure – $7.75

The Cursed Treasure is one of the two non-alcoholic beverage options at The Beak and Barrel. The drink is made with coconut milk and cookie crumbs topped with vanilla foam. It was served in a bronze-colored mug with a handle.

A frosty mug from The Beak and Barrel menu, topped with a gold Aztec chocolate coin, sits on a napkin.

Sitting on the side of the drink, on top of the pillow of vanilla foam, is a “pirate’s gold” cookie. The design on the cookie is reminiscent of the pirate medallions seen in the Pirates of the Caribbean films, though the center was blank instead of having the complete skull design.

Treasure Trove – $13.75

A plate of menu items at The Beak and Barrel: white ice cream bar, caramel popcorn, treat, and a copper mug on wood.

The other non-alcoholic beverage option is the Treasure Trove, which comes as a larger plate with a drink and some bite-sized desserts. The drink is made of ube, lemon, and coconut. The snacks on the side include a vanilla cake “plank,” chocolate cannonball, and golden caramel popcorn.

Island Provisions – $16

A wooden tray with assorted menu items—chips, flatbread, dips—served Pirates of the Caribbean Bar-style on parchment.

For our preview food option, we chose the Island Provisions. This includes a bowl of plantain chips, blue corn tortillas, and toasted flatbread served with a trio of dipping sauces. The sauces included zesty cilantro cream, garlic chimichurri, and mango chutney. The chips and tortillas were served with some unique map-themed paper lining the bowl.
