A new Rapunzel Berries and Cream Cake is now available at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and we made our way out there to give it a review.
The cake can be found at Everything POP Shopping & Dining, the food court and gift shop located inside Disney’s Pop Century Resort.
Rapunzel Berries and Cream Cake – $6.49
Vanilla cake, lemon cheesecake mousse, and blackberry jam
This cake is pretty good, but it’s sadly not out-of-this-world good. It’s a delightful and beautiful dessert for sure, though. The cake is moist, but it tastes like something you might be able to achieve at home. The floral and tie-dye design is very cool and unique.
We really like the lemon cheesecake mousse and think it’s a perfect addition to the overall flavor of the dessert. It’s not too tart and balances the sweetness from the blackberry jam. All of the textures here meld together well, too. That being said, if you’re not a fan of lemon or blackberry flavors, you’ll want to skip this.
If you’re in the mood for a sweet snack that looks great, this is a fabulous option. Fair warning, though: the Rapunzel medallion will melt and the cake will fall apart in the Florida heat. Our suggestion is to either eat it quickly or eat it inside!
