Crews continue to prepare for major demolition and construction around Rivers of America at Magic Kingdom.

White construction wall by a small building, with a bench and two trash cans nearby, under partly cloudy skies.

Between The Haunted Mansion and Riverboat Landing, a portion of the construction walls now has a white scrim. It appears the scrim is covering an opening in the walls, maybe for large equipment.

The ground beneath and in front of the scrim is covered with protective, temporary flooring.

More water was drained from Rivers of America in recent days. Draining began immediately after the attractions closed. There is now a few feet of space below Aunt Polly’s, with previously underwater supports exposed.

A rustic wooden dock labeled "Tom Sawyer Island Landing" sits by green water, surrounded by trees and shrubs.

It’s the same story at Tom’s Landing, where many props were removed in July. There are still tagged lanterns and posts at the dock.

Over by Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the new Big Thunder Mountain Railroad vehicle barn now has rolling doors. This is where attraction trains will go for maintenance. The former barn was removed in February.

Themed posters were added to Frontierland construction walls a few weeks ago. The land is getting a National Parks-inspired Cars expansion, which will take over the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island spaces. Check out our final look at Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat.
