Roofing, Trees, and Final Details Added to Disney Adventure World Expansion at Disneyland Paris

Details are being added to the Adventure Bay expansion of Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be renamed Disney Adventure World, as it nears its 2026 opening.

Adventure Bay Construction

DLP Works captured these aerial photos on July 30, 2025, and shared them on X (formerly Twitter).

World of Frozen is at the back of the Adventure Bay expansion. As DLP Works notes, the village of Arendelle seems complete with facades, roofs, stone paving, lampposts, benches, and more.

In the center of the village, the fountain is being tested. There are two boats docked at the pier, one named Snedronningen — the Danish name for The Snow Queen, which Frozen is based on. Scaffolding is gone from the North Mountain, although Elsa’s Ice Palace has not been installed.

Earlier this summer, crews added water from other Frozen attractions to the flume of Frozen Ever After as the ride neared completion.

The sidewalks around Adventure Bay are complete with most themed fences and lampposts installed. There are specific plants and trees for each area, like pines by World of Frozen, yellow acacias near the future Lion King Pride Lands area, and tall trees by the pre-existing Cars Race Rally. The floating platforms that were previously in the lake (all but one) have been moved backstage.

Leading to Adventure Bay is Adventure Way, along which are newly planted trees. After a permit was approved on July 23, the site for the Up attraction has been cleared. A circular planter is ready for landscaping. Also along Adventure Way is the Gazebo Garden, which recently received character statues.

The circular building with a teal green roof is Raiponce Tangled Spin, a Tangled spinner ride. There is still scaffolding around part of the building, including its central tower.

The structure of Regal View Restaurant and Lounge (the building with teal green roofing in front of Raiponce Tangled Spin) is almost complete. Painters are working on the Art Nouveau patterns and moulding on the facade. Not all the dome rooftops have been installed.

The “East Pavilion,” which will house quick-service food and show management, has scaffolding as crews paint the facade and work on frescoes. A themed canopy is in place at the entrance to the quick-service restaurant and will be covered with greenery. A dome structure is awaiting installation.

The empty land to the right is the future Lion King area, which will open after the rest of the expansion. The land has been fully cleared and outlined, with vertical construction expected to start this fall.

When World of Frozen and the surrounding area opens in 2026, the park will be renamed Disney Adventure World. The expansion and renaming are part of a major reimagining of Walt Disney Studios Park. The “fun map” above shows its new layout, with Adventure Bay in the center. The lake will host a new nighttime spectacular. An opening timeframe has not been announced for the Lion King area.

The park’s update also included a reimagining of the entrance space, now dubbed World Premiere.
