Trash Cans Removed From Magic Kingdom Ferryboats After Crash

Disney has removed trash cans from the ferryboats that travel between Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center, seemingly as a result of a crash a few days ago.

WDWNT rode the Richard F. Irvine boat and found it free of trash cans. We spoke to Cast Members, who said they were removed for safety.

For now, Cast Members are asking guests to hang onto their trash and throw it out when they reach the other side of the lagoon.

The closest trash cans at the Transportation and Ticket Center are at the top of the ramp leading from the ferryboats.

The General Joe Potter ferryboat crashed into the TTC’s dock during a storm on Wednesday, July 30. The accident reportedly caused several injuries, and some guests spoke out about their bad experience not only with the crash but also with the aftermath.

A man sued Disney last year regarding a 2023 accident in which he was thrown into a trash can during a ferryboat crash.
