WDWNT has put together a full POV and walkthrough video of the new Walt Disney – A Magical Life show, featuring the first-ever Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic, as well as the related exhibits in the Main Street Opera House.

Walt Disney – A Magical Life debuted on July 17, 2025, the 70th anniversary of Disneyland. It temporarily replaces Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. However, Abe will return later, and the two shows will eventually play in rotation. If Walt Disney – A Magical Life is unable to perform for some reason, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln will go on.
The performance begins with a showing of an updated version of the 15-minute Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream documentary narrated by Disney CEO Bob Iger. After the film, the Walt animatronic is revealed and speaks to guests thanks to archival voice recordings. The animatronic incorporates “moonshots,” new technology developed by Walt Disney Imagineering just for the figure.
In the lobby of the Opera House, the Disneyland: Evolution of a Dream exhibit explores the history of the park and its development. There are also sections dedicated to the history of animatronics and Walt Disney’s life. Artifacts include items from Walt Disney’s original Disneyland apartment. An exit exhibit is dedicated to Disneyland Resort Cast Members over the years.
In a more recent change, guests at Disneyland Resort no longer have to enter a virtual queue to experience Walt Disney – A Magical Life on most days.
