Adventureland Sign Returns to Magic Kingdom After Refurbishment

The Adventureland sign and most of its themed props have returned to the land’s entrance bridge in Magic Kingdom.

Refurbished Adventureland Sign

A wooden sign reading "ADVENTURELAND" is decorated with spears and a skull, surrounded by tropical plants.

The sign and all the props around it were removed in early August, presumably for refurbishment. The actual canvas sign appears to be brand new, as the color and lettering are slightly different from before. The straw around the animal skull above the sign is also new, as its much straighter and more evenly flared around the skull.

For comparison, above is what the sign used to look like and what the sign looks like today. After a partial dismantling, the entrance archway is back together, now with brown rope instead of white. The decorative designs on the vertical supports appear to have been repainted.

Some props and decorations are still missing, however. The spears, oars, and masks are all back. But the skulls, Abu Fab 50 statue, and the carved tops of the right supports are still missing. These may be reinstalled in the coming days or weeks.

The Frontierland sign was also recently removed and the Adventureland/Frontierland sign from the back of the lands was refurbished earlier this year.
