BLAST OFF! New Lighting Makes Rockets Appear to Launch into Orbit at Space Mountain in Paris

Disneyland Paris has revealed the new exterior light display for Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain which makes it appear that rockets are launching.

Disneyland Paris is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain with a brand-new light concept. It will make rockets appear to launch from the attraction.

To do so, teams replaced over 640 luminaires, modernized equipment, and created new technical access points. It features 48,000 lighting points, which will allow teams to create new special effects or other possibilities in the future.

In addition, the roof is currently being repainted but is expected to be completed soon.

The display will “launch” a rocket each time a vehicle launches on the attraction, and the loop will last for approximately 16 minutes.

It’s expected to be completed on September 12, 2025. Check out the video below:
