Hong Kong Disneyland revealed new concept art for their next Avengers attraction, a Spider-Man ride rumored to be a drop tower like The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
Avengers Drop Tower Concept Art

“Team up with the Avengers for an unexpected adventure in the thrilling new Marvel-themed experience – only at Hong Kong Disneyland👊!” reads the new social media post. “From attractions to epic entertainment and shopping, Marvel fans won’t want to miss this💥!”

The first piece of concept art shows a version of Avengers Tower while the second features Dr. Strange, Thor, Black Panther, and Spider-Man with the dropping car of guests. Asgard appears to be in the background.

Hong Kong Disneyland previously announced the ride as a Spider-Man attraction, part of their expansion to their Marvel-themed area Stark Expo. The first concept art (above) included Doctor Octopus. According to the story revealed at the time, Tony Stark has invited Peter Parker to showcase new inventions. Unfortunately, that leads to the Expo catching the attention of one of Spidey’s most formidable foes. While trying to help Spider-Man protect the new tech, guests get caught in the middle of the action.
Stark Expo was announced in 2016 and built around the Iron Man Experience, which opened that year. Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle replaced Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters.
Disney announced an E-ticket Avengers Quinjet attraction and Autopia closed to make way for it, but the ride seems to have been scrapped. Originally set to open in 2023, there have been no announcements since 2019. Hong Kong Disneyland confirmed in 2024 that an expansion was still planned.
