Cinemark revealed their lineup of TRON: Ares novelties coming to theaters with the film’s October release, including a lightcycle popcorn bucket.
TRON Ares Popcorn Bucket and Novelties at Cinemark
The TRON Ares popcorn bucket is a 3D sculpted lightcycle with a rider. It’s black with red highlights, and the rider is likely meant to be Ares, the AI protagonist portrayed by Jared Leto in TRON: Ares.
Their other novelties include a 12-ounce TRON Ares popcorn tub, 20-ounce double-wall cup, and 44-ounce souvenir cup — all featuring TRON: ARES graphics. The popcorn tub and souvenir cup will be available as a combo, as well as individually.
Cinemark did not release prices or an exact date that the novelties will be available.
Tickets are available now for TRON: Ares. Early access screenings will be at Cinemark theaters on October 8, before the film officially hits theaters on October 10.
TRON Ares
TRON: Ares is the third film in the series, following TRON (1982) and TRON: Legacy (2010). The film “follows a highly sophisticated program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings.”
In addition to Jared Leto, it stars Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, Gillian Anderson, Cameron Monaghan, Sarah Desjardins, and Jeff Bridges returning as Kevin Flynn. It’s directed by Joachim Rønning from a screenplay by Jesse Wigutow with music by Nine Inch Nails.
TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom will get a TRON: Ares overlay featuring a Nine Inch Nails soundtrack and a special on-ride photo.
