About half of Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland Park closed temporarily this morning due to a smoke alarm.

As of writing, Carnation Cafe remains closed. The Emporium and Candy Palace were evacuated and closed for about 10 minutes. Because all the shops and restaurants on one side of Main Street are connected, a smoke alarm requires all the venues to evacuate for safety.

Several men set up under red and white striped umbrellas at an outdoor cafe with empty tables and chairs.

We saw several Cast Members, including management and maintenance, in the outdoor seating area of Carnation Cafe immediately after the smoke alarm.

No matter what caused the alarm, there does not appear to be a fire or any imminent danger at this time.
