The new scavenger hunt experience for Halloween Horror Nights 2025 is available for guests attending the event at Universal Orlando Resort. In the Feel the Fear Medallion Quest, you’ll search for horror-themed medallions during the event.
The Halloween Horror Nights website reads: “You’ll find yourself in the middle of mayhem as you seek out the coveted digital medallions. Find all medallions, and you can take a piece of the horror home with you. Come out to play, if you dare.”
Universal Backlot Club
To sign up for the Backlot Club, you’ll use your Universal account and set up a profile. The Universal app gives the option to set up a card for your Apple Wallet. There are several profile image choices you can choose from. After logging in, you have access to trivia, scavenger hunts, and other quests to earn “cool rewards.”
As you complete these challenges around the Universal Studios Florida parks, you’ll earn collectible digital and physical rewards that are exclusive to Backlot Club members. The more points you earn, the more perks you will unlock.
Just by joining, you will “complete” your first quest, awarding a level one medallion.
HHN Quests & Trivia
As a part of HHN 34, several quests and trivia opportunities are available when attending the event. For a full list of available quests, visit the Backlot Club website or join in the app.
Clicking each quest provides more information about the quest and locations for check-in. The reward for the Week 1 quest is a physical trading card.
Feel the Fear Medallion Quest – Week 1 Prize
The week one medallion quest requires you to find the tower listed on the map to check-in with your Backlot Card. This week, the El Artista Medallion task listed “face your fears, and search for Sergio Navarro.”
You check in at a Universal Backlot Club Interactive Tower near El Artista. By tapping your card to the reader and entering the code, you are awarded the virtual card and allowed to pick up the physical card.
After scanning in, the virtual card, 1 of 4, populates in the app. For Week 1, the card features Flesh-Eater, one of the creatures from Grave of Flesh. The card alerts earners that a physical card can be picked up at Five & Dime by 12:00 am on September 8, 2025. Pickup is only available during HHN event hours.
The card features one of the flesh-eating monsters inspired by real-life star-nosed moles. “Flesh-Eater” is written above the character, and the “Halloween Horror Night 2025” wordmark is printed along the framing of the card. The back features the Universal Showdown logo.
Once picked up, the app will reflect the date, time, and claimed status of the card. The description of the card reads:
Buried deep beneath the graves of Halmouth Cemetery, this flesh-eating fiend drags the dead to darker soil. Insatiable and on the prowl, it ensures no soul rests in peace.
