Halloween Screams

Returning for another year of Halloween fun, Halloween Screams lights up the night at Disneyland Park through October 31. This 10-minute-long nighttime spectacular is hosted by none other than Jack Skellington and Zero as a range of Disney villains descend upon Sleeping Beauty Castle. Keep in mind, the show’s projections occur every night, but the fireworks are only available on select nights (often on weekends).
Can’t wait to watch the show in person? Check out our complete Halloween Screams video.
Fire of the Rising Moons

Over in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, also located in Disneyland Park, you’ll find fireworks soaring into the skies of Batuu, accompanied by projections. On select nights, the Fire of the Rising Moons takes you on a magical journey with iconic John Williams’ Star Wars compositions and Bard the droid.
Mickey and Friends Halloween Cavalcade

Twice a day, at 1:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m., is the Mickey and Friends Halloween Cavalcade. This short parade runs the Disneyland Park parade route from “it’s a small world” to Town Square. It features Mickey with his pals in their Halloween costumes, along with a variety of other characters. You may see Peter Pan and Genie walking with their trick-or-treat buckets, Miguel, or even Merida and Moana!
Mickey’s Trick and Treat

Throughout the day from 10:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., you can find Mickey’s Trick and Treat stage show over The Disney Theater in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure. In this 15-minute Halloween event, you can see Mickey and his pals dressed in their costumes with special original music and a not-so-scary story.
Haunted Mansion Holiday

Every year, the residents of Halloweentown pay a visit to The Haunted Mansion and take it over for both Halloween and Christmas. Haunted Mansion Holiday features many of the favorite characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas, as well as Halloweentown-inspired decor. This Haunted Mansion overlay is not frightfully short, however, as it’ll be around until January 7, 2026.
Mickey & Friends Costumes

Almost every year, Mickey, Minnie, and the rest of the Sensational Six show off brand-new costumes for the Halloween season. Last year, the gang wore patchwork-style outfits. This year, it’s all about neon bright colors. Mickey is dressed as a wizard, Minnie as a witch, Goofy is a robot, and more.
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is back! This scavenger hunt that stretches across Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, and Downtown Disney District encourages participants to look for decorated pumpkins. For $11.99 at various merchandise locations, you can buy a map with corresponding stickers. You can return your map to a redemption location to grab a memorable keepsake for playing along.
Decorations

Throughout Disneyland Resort, Halloween decorations are everywhere. From the giant Mickey jack-o’-lantern at the top of Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park, to the ominous Oogie Boogie over the top of the Disney California Adventure Park entrance, it seems every corner of this magical place is dressed up.

You’ll see the Headless Horseman statue perched along Buena Vista Street and bats taking over the tower above Carthay Circle. Similar to Disneyland Park, there are also a plethora of pumpkins. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for themed pumpkins if you’re doing Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit!

You’ll also see Halloween decorations beyond the main entrance areas of the parks. For instance, over in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure, the area gets its own Haul-O-Ween theming through the end of October. They even have a spooky Cozy Cone sipper to celebrate.

Even the Downtown Disney District is all dressed up for the season. Throughout the shopping area, characters are everywhere. You can spot Donald dressed as a wizard, a royal Minnie plus Mickey Mouse, and Lonesome Ghosts galore.
Plaza de la Familia

Over in Paradise Gardens Park at Disney California Adventure, an even more festive autumnal event awaits. Plaza de la Familia, inspired by Coco, invites guests to celebrate Día de Los Muertos through November 2. Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia bring the music from Coco to life, and there are many area-exclusive treats and merchandise, like a Dante sipper, to enjoy.
