Harry Potter House of Black Collection Now Available at Universal Studios Hollywood

We spotted new Harry Potter merchandise in Filch’s Emporium of Confiscated Goods at Universal Studios Hollywood. The House of Black Collection features apparel, pins, mugs, and more.

Wizarding World of Harry Potter

The new collection features the House of Black, one of the largest, oldest, and wealthiest wizarding families. Wizards in the Black family tree are typically sorted into Slytherin. Famous Black family members include Sirius Black and Bellatrix Lestrange.

House of Black Shirt – $37

An adult short-sleeve shirt has the words “The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black” on the left chest. Growing up from the bottom hem are some gray-toned tree branches, perhaps in reference to the famous Black family tree.

The back has a large image of the family motto: Toujours Pur (which means “always pure” in French), along with the family crest. The crest has an armored arm holding a wand and three ravens on a shield with a skull on top. There are more of the gray branches along the bottom.

Crest Sweatshirt – $70

A dark green hooded sweatshirt is also available with the same crest design as the shirt. This one continues the branch theming from the shirt, but it is done with gray stitching along the neck and shoulders instead of printed designs. The bottom has a kangaroo hand pocket, which has intentionally rough edges along the stitching.

The branch stitching extends all across the top of the hoodie. The back is plain, with the exception of more branch stitching along hood and shoulders.

Crest Mug – $27

This Black family mug is a bright green color with tan and brown tree branches printed across the surface. The front has another Black family crest printed in full color, including a metallic, reflective texture for the gold sections.

Crest Pin – $12

To complete the House of Black collection, we have a crest-shaped pin. Like the full color crest on the mug, it is red, black, and gold with the image of the three ravens near the bottom and a skull on the top.

Wizarding World of Harry Potter

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood has two attractions: Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and Flight of the Hippogriff. You can also cast spells with your wand, watch live entertainment, and enjoy Butterbeer.
