Rogue Firework Strikes Busy Freeway Near Disneyland in Viral Video

An individual has shared a video online of a rogue firework going in the wrong direction during the nighttime fireworks at Disneyland Resort and accidentally striking in the middle of a busy freeway.

The video the incident was shared on Tiktok by @aubzbri, and later reposted on Instagram by @themeparkdetective. The video, which has the caption “Disneyland fireworks go wrong lol,” has the guest watching the back side of some Disneyland Resort fireworks when one takes an unexpected path.

The user appears to have been taking a video from outside the resort area, making the road in front of them likely the Santa Ana Freeway, also known as Interstate 5.

The user begins with a video of the fireworks going in their usual directions during the show. However, as the video continues, one of the flare-style gold fireworks shoots off in a diagonal path, arching backward instead of up. The user follows the firework with their camera as it falls down to land in the center of the freeway, striking in the middle of the right side lanes.

There were several cars driving on the freeway at the time the firework hit the road. Thankfully, the drivers all kept going forward, and no one swerved into the other lanes. As a result, it appears no one was injured and it did not cause an accident.

The exact firework show is not mentioned in the video. However, it is definitely not Wonderous Journeys, which had its final performance on August 21 before temporarily pausing for the Halloween season.
