A long maze of construction walls now leads to the DINOSAUR attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The Boneyard officially closed yesterday, September 1. Dinoland will eventually become Tropical Americas.

The Boneyard closed yesterday, September 1, and construction walls were quickly installed overnight.

It took us about three minutes to walk the entire route of walls to DINOSAUR this morning.

The updated map reflects the closure. Additionally, the Wilderness Explorer kiosk is now behind the wall as well.

Signs along the walls show funny sayings as well as directions to DINOSAUR and Asia area of the park.

Tropical Americas

People walk towards a vibrant, tropical house with colorful flowers and lush greenery in a picturesque setting, reminiscent of an enchanting attraction you might find at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

The Tropical Americas land will open in 2027 with a brand-new Encanto ride. This attraction’s storyline will be Antonio receiving his gift of speaking with animals.

DINOSAUR will become a new version of Indiana Jones Adventure. Indy goes into an ancient Mayan temple to investigate stories of a mythical creature.

Pueblo Esperanza will be the land’s fictional village and will include a carousel of carved Disney animals. Plus, a new playground will replace The Boneyard.
