Updated Animal Kingdom Guidemap Removes The Boneyard Following Closure

Now that The Boneyard has closed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, a new guidemap for the park completely removes the attraction from DinoLand U.S.A.

New Animal Kingdom Guidemap No Boneyard

A hand holds a Disney's Animal Kingdom guidemap, with people walking on a paved path in the background.

The front cover of the map features goats seen on Kilimanjaro Safaris. This exhibit was added to the attraction in late 2020.

As usual, the first fold, titled “Alive with Magic,” features various offerings available at the park, including Rafiki’s Planet Watch, animal trails, shows, Wilderness Explorers, and more. In addition, there is a small blurb about this year being the last to visit DinoLand U.S.A. “before it goes extinct.”

The back panel of the guidemap includes park rules and details on payment options.

Upon unfolding the map completely, you can see that DinoLand U.S.A. is mostly represented by trees, with only DINOSAUR and Restaurantosarus remaining.

A DAK Guidemap legend and list of attractions, color-coded by area, is displayed on folded paper over a green surface.

The attraction has also been removed from the list on the far right of the center fold, next to the map of the park. Now only the following locations are listed for DinoLand U.S.A.:

  • Animal Highlight: Tyrannosaurus Rex
  • Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!
  • DINOSAUR
  • Restaurantosaurus
  • Dino-Bite Snacks
  • Trilo-Bites
  • The Dino Institute Shop

The Boneyard: Fossil Fun Site held its final day of operation on Monday, September 1, 2025. It was an open-air space designed to look like a dinosaur dig site, where children ages 10 and under could climb, play, and explore in DinoLand U.S.A. The area is part of the phased closure of the land to make way for the Tropical Americas expansion of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
