In a post on Facebook, Gideon’s Bakehouse has announced a temporary change to its Disney Springs menu due to some “suspect cream cheese.”

We received some suspect cream cheese this week. It’s a bit off and consistency is of max important to us. So, as much as it may hurt, we’re dumping everything made from this week’s shipment, which includes Carrot Cake Slices for the Disney Springs location today and, unfortunately, this weekend’s release of Stuffed Guava Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies. It sucks. I apologize, but it’s the right thing to do. All should be back to normal next week.
Gideon’s has a classic version of Carrot Cake, described as follows:
Enjoy three layers of soft Ginger Spiced Carrot Cake surrounded by our signature healthy portion of our Cheesecake Frosting and accented with super yummy Candied Pecans and, of course, Buttercream Carrots!
Cold Brew Float
Despite the lack of cream cheese, Gideon’s did share two tidbits of “good news.” The first is a “secret menu” option at Disney Springs:
You can ask to turn your Nitro Cold Brew into a float if you ask nicely. That’s right! The creaminess that a scoop of our Malted Vanilla Ice Cream, prepared by our local friends at @kellyshomemadeicecream is not just for Hot Cookie Hour.
The second bit of news shared is that a never-before-released Chocolate Buttercream version of the Steve Hates Sprinkles Cake will be available while supplies last, in lieu of the lost Carrot Cake Slices at Disney Springs. The cake features the following ingredients:
Vanilla Cake, Rich Chocolate Buttercream, Crunchy Crumble, Chocolate Ganache & a Bunch of #$%&ing Sprinkles!
The cake slice will only be available at Disney Springs, while supplies last.
