The new Cool Ship kiosk has been installed in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom, revealing its modernized look. The updated kiosk has a completely updated style, and it is missing the titular spaceship on the roof.
New Cool Ship

Cool Ship and Cool Scanner suddenly closed in May and were completely dismantled. Disney made no official announcement about the closure, but the Walt Disney World website still states, “Cool Ship is temporarily closed for refurbishment and is expected to reopen later this year.”

The new structure confirms that Cool Ship is getting a brand new look, the latest in a series of updates to Tomorrowland that remove classic styles in favor of sleeker, modernized elements.

The new building appears to be approximately the same size as the old (although lacking the attached Cool Scanner structure with the misting fan). It has white swooping pieces on the roof with an oval-shaped sign sticking off to one side. The design is reminiscent of the Joffrey’s Revive kiosk on the other side of the land.

The roof is made of layers of white, light blue, and red circles. Another light blue circle acts as an awning over one side. There are pale teal decorative elements on the walls of the kiosk.

A dark blue counter runs around the kiosk. There are multiple windows and doorways.
For comparison, below is the old classic look of Cool Ship and Cool Scanner.

The old kiosk had large gray metallic columns and a metallic silver counter. The roofs were white with dark blue trim. The design had more of a 1980s look, and the red ship on top was rumored to be a repainted prop from Flight of the Navigator (1986).
