More Sidewalk Completed Around Cool Ship in Magic Kingdom

The foundation appears to be complete for the new Cool Ship at Magic Kingdom.

There’s now a circular concrete foundation where the old Cool Ship kiosk used to be. Since our last update, more sidewalk has been installed on the right. The only ground not yet covered is behind the foundation.

There are pipes sticking out of the concrete, likely to run water to the kiosk. Small steel pieces with red toppers line the edge of the foundation, possibly indicating where walls will be installed. There’s still an excavator on site, moving dirt out of the open ground behind the circle. A small square of concrete is to the left, and a trapezoid is on the right.

Cool Ship Before

Two retro-futuristic kiosks, "Cool Scanner" and "Cool Ship," line the walkways of a vibrant Magic Kingdom theme park.

Above is what Cool Ship and Cool Scanner looked like before closing in May and being completely dismantled. The Walt Disney World website states, “Cool Ship is temporarily closed for refurbishment and is expected to reopen later this year.” Despite that, it appears the kiosk won’t return with its old look. A reopening date is not yet available.
