The Orlando International Airport has issued a ground stop on September 11, 2025, causing flight delays. The ground stop order is reportedly caused by an equipment outage.
UPDATE: As of 2:15 p.m. EDT, the Orlando International Airport has announced that the ground stop issued by the FAA has been lifted. However, they note that “departure delays are still expected.” Guests are still encouraged to check with their airline for updated information on possible changes.
Ground Stop Order

Flights departing from Orlando International Airport were halted to an equipment outage at the airport. The advisory, posted shortly after 1:00 p.m. EDT, reads:
Advisory: Our airport is currently under a ground stop due to an FAA equipment issue: http://nasstatus.faa.gov. This may affect airline operations, including flight schedules and baggage delivery. For the latest updates, please check directly with your airline.

According to the FFA, the Central Florida Terminal Radar Approach Control is experiencing a radar issue, which is causing the ground stop. Flights are likely to be delayed by 45 minutes but could last longer.
This is not the first time this summer that flights at the Orlando International Airport have been delayed or altered. Previously, flights were delayed due to severe weather on July 6.
