Cash was stolen from Disney Springs restaurant Paddlefish in the early hours of Monday, September 15, 2025.

A recent story from local channel News 6 in Orlando has reported that Paddlefish in Disney Springs has been burglarized (though their original report uses the word robbed). According to Orange County Sheriff’s Office officials, an “unknown man entered the business after hours, took some cash and left.”

The robbery happened just after midnight. Paddlefish closed at 11 p.m. on Sunday, which is the standard closing time for all of Disney Springs.

Deputies said that no one was injured during the incident, though they did not share if anyone was in the restaurant at the time the burglary occurred.

Paddlefish at Disney Springs

Paddlefish is a restaurant located inside a faux steamboat building on the lake of Disney Springs. Since it is a stationary building, the restaurant never actually moves, though guests still get the feeling of dining on the water.

The steamboat structure originally opened in 1977 as the Empress Lilly, which was named after Walt Disney’s wife, Lillian Disney. In 1996, Fulton’s Crab House took over the space, and remained its sole occupant until the restaurant was turned into Paddlefish in 2017. Both Fulton’s Crab House and now Paddlefish have been operated by Levy Restaurants.
