The Marvel overlay of “it’s a small world” with Groot will be back at Tokyo Disneyland late this year.

A small, tree-like character reminiscent of Groot, dressed in Greek attire, stands under a decorative structure. Surrounded by stylized figures on a brightly colored stage, it feels like a scene from It's a Small World.

“it’s a small world” in Tokyo Disneyland will be closed from November 27 through December 26 to make the change. It will reopen with the Groot overlay on December 27, 2025, and run for a limited time.

The overlay features Groot vacationing on Earth with his fellow members of the Guardians of the Galaxy and other Marvel characters like Black Panther, Thor, Captain Marvel, and the Hulk.

Tokyo Disney Resort shared preview images of some of the new “it’s a small world” with Groot merchandise that will be available, including a sweatshirt, ear headband, plush headband, crossbody bag, towels, and keychains.
