The Walt Disney Imagineering team shared a landmark construction update for the Avengers Campus expansion at California Adventure.
Avengers Campus Construction
Walt Disney Imagineering shared the update from the Avengers Campus construction site on their Instagram:
The caption reads:
Attention Recruits: Exciting progress in the expansion of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park – the canopy connecting the two new attractions, Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab, is being assembled!

The Avengers Campus expansion will add two new attractions to the land: Stark Flight Lab and Avengers Infinity Defense. In the photos, the Imagineering team “assembles” in front of the framework for the two ride buildings, which are now connected by a canopy structure.

Last month, we reported that the framework for the Infinity Defense ride building was nearly complete as it has been topped off with steel roof beams.
Avengers Campus Expansion
The expansion to Avengers Campus will nearly double the size of the land at California Adventure and add two new rides alongside Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission BREAKOUT! and WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure.

Avengers: Infinity Defense is expected to be a 3D attraction using the same system as Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure at Tokyo DisneySea. Guests will join Marvel super heroes as they jump across the multiverse battling King Thanos, an alternate version of the villain who won. The second new ride will be Stark Flight Lab with Robert Downey, Jr. returning as Tony Stark / Iron Man. Guests will board “gyro-kinetic pods” that are lifted into the air by robotic KUKA arms for “flight tests.”
