Espresso Meets Gelato: We Tried Custard, Pistachio, Chocolate, and Peppermint Affogato at the Disney Springs Affogato Cart

A new Affogato cart by Vivoli il Gelato has opened at Disney Springs. We were there at the official opening to try different affogato offerings. Each is a mix of gelato and espresso.

New Affogato Cart

The cart is located in the Marketplace, between World of Disney and Basin. If you plan to drink your affogato near the cart, they’ll serve it in a ceramic mug with a saucer and spoon. Otherwise, they can put it in a to-go cup.

In addition to affogato, the menu includes some other treats and just a simple espresso. These are also available at the full Vivoli il Gelato location in The Landing area.

We Tried Custard Affogato at the New Disney Springs Affogato Cart

The “original” flavor tastes kind of like caramel. It reminds us of a Cuban coffee. It’s very creamy and sweet. The gelato melts quickly, making it a cold, sweet espresso.

We Tried Pistachio Affogato at the New Disney Springs Affogato Cart

This has a nutty flavor. It reminded us of a toffee nut coffee, and our reporter who loves hazelnut said this was her favorite.

We Tried Chocolate Affogato at the New Disney Springs Affogato Cart

This is rich and heavy frozen chocolate. There’s not much coffee flavor so kids (or kids at heart) who can handle a bit of caffeine would like it.

Seasonal Peppermint – $11

We Tried Peppermint Affogato at the New Disney Springs Affogato Cart

This is vanilla gelato with peppermint candy on top. It’s not as sweet as some of the others, but definitely minty. If you prefer mint over sweetness, this is for you.

Affogato Magnet – $15

This magnet is available at the regular Vivoli il Gelato location. It has a 3D design, shaped like a mug with an affogato diamond inside, sitting on a saucer that reads “Vivoli il Gilato – Firenze.”
