Disney+ and Hulu are the new Guinness World Records title holders for Largest Gingerbread House for an almost life-size replica of Kevin McCallister’s home in Home Alone. The display celebrates 35 years of the classic Christmas film.
Home Alone Gingerbread House
The Home Alone Gingerbread house is 25.6 feet tall, 42 feet wide, and 58 feet long for a total of 44,838 cubic feet. Guinness World Records judge Brittany Dunn verified the record on Friday morning, the last day the house is on display at Hollywood and Vine in Los Angeles.
There’s still a chance to see the installation until 9:30 p.m. PT on Friday, December 19. There is also a Toys for Tots gift drive.
Ingredients include 5,700 pounds of flour and over 4,200 eggs, comprising 4,400 gingerbread brick tiles and 800 roof tiles. It’s held together with 20 gallons of edible glue and finished with 20 pounds of fondant.
See the house in D23’s post below.
