Walt Disney World has some “new” Disney Princess dolls available. They are actually the same dolls they’ve had for several years, just in smaller packaging and with fewer accessories — but sold at the same price point.
Repackaged Disney Princess Dolls

We spotted repackaged versions of Snow White, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Tiana, Aurora, Rapunzel, Ariel, Anna, and Elsa dolls in Sir Mickey’s at Magic Kingdom.

The new packaging is slimmer and has windows in the front to show the real doll inside. The windows are open with no clear plastic, so the packaging remains plastic-free.

The old packaging is wider and only shows pictures of the dolls and accessories. The older Cinderella doll, for example, comes wearing her ballgown with five additional accessories: her maid dress, maid shoes, basket, Gus figure, and Lucifer figure.
The old boxes also function as a play set. One side folds down into a floor and backdrop. In Cinderella’s case, this shows the staircase scene. These sets also come with activity sheets.
The repackaged dolls only come with a “character friend.” In Cinderella’s case, a silhouette on the front indicates this is Gus, but that’s not plainly stated.
The smaller box has no additional function. It does not seem to come with activity pages.
Both versions of the dolls are are $29.99, despite one box offering a better deal.
The older Rapunzel doll came with six accessories: her finale dress, flower crown, pink shoes, frying pan, guitar, and Pascal figure. Plus, she wore her standard pink and purple dress.
The repackaged figure has only the dress she wears and the Pascal figure.
Another example is Belle, who came in her yellow ballgown with a whopping seven accessories: her village dress, hairbow, shoes, basket, book, Chip, and a sheep.
The silhouette on the repackaged doll indicates she comes with a new Lumiere figure.
We would guess Disney is selling the older dolls until they run out of stock, and then they will be completely replaced by the repackaged dolls.
