According to Cast Members at TRON Lightcycle Run in Magic Kingdom, the TRON Ares overlay will end in January.

Cast Members could not provide an exact date when the overlay would end.

The overlay inspired by the new TRON film debuted in September, a month before the film’s release. The ride’s blue lights were replaced by red, which is reflected on the updated on-ride photo.

It also received new Master Control narration and is set to the Nine Inch Nails movie soundtrack.

Detecting malicious code. No concern. I am master control and have taken over. Your new directive: spread my code throughout the grid. Do so or be de-rezzed. Launching in three, two, one. First gate captured. Second gate. Gate three. Ignore them. Keep going! Four. Three more gates. Excellent work. The grid is now mine. Negative. Malicious code neutralized. Nooooo!
