Gideon’s Bakehouse Artwork Appears in Second Location at Walt Disney World

Earlier this month, we reported the possibility of a second Gideon’s Bakehouse coming to Disney Springs. The second location has now seemingly been confirmed with artwork posted in the windows of a new location.

Second Gideon’s Bakehouse Location

The second location was rumored due to a permit filed with the Orange County comptroller earlier this month. The permit was for a “New Tenant Build-Out of Lease Space in Disney Springs” at the address 1600 E. Buena Vista Dr Suite C-22. This is the former storefront for The Art of Shaving, which closed permanently in January 2024. The store has sat empty since. The owner listed on the permit is Walt Disney World, the client is The First Raven LLC, owned by Steve Lewis, the founder of Gideon’s Bakehouse.

The former Art of Shaving location is around the corner from Gideon’s Bakehouse, but several businesses separate them, so this wouldn’t be a literal expansion of the current shop. This led us to believe that it could be an additional location or a brand-new venture by Lewis and The First Raven.’

Red and black art work has been added behind the windows of the location. The art is in the tradition Gothic Gideon’s style and features various birds and what appears to be a crown and sword. This is not the typical Gideon’s logo, so the new location could serve a different type of food or treat.

A sign on the door reads “Please Pardon Our Appearance | Something New is Coming Soon.” We asked Cast Members at the first Disney Springs location about the new location, but they did not seem to know any details about this new project.

There is another Gideon’s Bakehouse location at the East End Market in the  Audubon Park Garden District of Orlando, Florida. This first location opened in October of 2016 with one employee.
