The old Disney Princess doll packaging that included more accessories and activity pages has mostly been phased out at Walt Disney World. As we reported a few days ago, Disney is replacing the old sets with smaller boxes that have fewer accessories but are sold at the same price.
Repackaged Disney Princess Dolls
We originally saw the new packaging at Sir Mickey’s in Magic Kingdom. The store no longer has any of the old packaging. The dolls themselves are the same, but they only come with a sidekick figure instead of a sidekick (or two), an extra outfit, props, activity pages, and a fold-out background built-into the box.
We also noticed the old sets were no longer available at the Emporium. The new boxes are thinner, allowing more stock to fit on the shelves. Like the old boxes, they don’t use any plastic. The windows on the front are fully open.

Elsewhere, Disney’s Hollywood Studios also has the new packaging. We also noticed Mirabel has not been included so far in the new rollout. She may join the rest at a later date.
Despite coming with fewer items, the dolls are still $29.99.
As pictured above, there are also smaller figures and larger baby-like dolls. The change applies to the Barbie-style dolls.
