REVIEW: Milk & Cookies Macaron from Disneyland

We found this new blue-hued “Christmas tree” macaron available at Jolly Holiday Bakery and Cafe in Disneyland. It replaces the white mocha-peppermint macaron that we tried last month.

Milk & Cookies Macaron – $8.29

Christmas Macaron

On first bite, the macaron is quite sweet. Mostly, it just tastes like a vanilla macaron. Soft and great texture with the barely crisp flaky exterior. The frosting was nice and not artificial tasting. We’re fans of sprinkles so we appreciate the few included here.

Christmas Macaron

The cookie dough in the middle tasted just like a chunk of Toll House chocolate chip cookie dough from the grocery store: nothing all that special, but always tasty. However, there needed to be more of it, as it was just a small chunk.

For the price its a good sharable dessert. Kids would love it! Nice flavor, what you would probably expect. Less cookie more milk or sweet cream, but not a bad replacement.

You may want to stay away if you’re someone who doesn’t like the flavor profile of macarons or if you aren’t a fan of overly-sweet desserts.

Location

We found this new macaron at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe in Disneyland Park.

This macaron replaces the previously available white mocha-peppermint macaron at Jolly Holiday, which was the same price and featured peppermint buttercream with a coffee Bundt cake center. That macaron also earned a score of 5 from us.
