Sleeping Beauty Scene at Disneyland Resort LEGO Store Updated

The ornate Sleeping Beauty display outside the LEGO Store in Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort has undergone a partial rebuild.

On a recent visit to the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort, we noticed a few changes to the Sleeping Beauty display outside the LEGO Store.

The display has been partially obstructed for some time by white construction walls and temporary planters. Now we can see part of the ongoing work has been focused on the large Prince Phillip and Maleficent dragon statues which feature prominently around the store’s outer facade.

One notable change is the addition of a “Disney Sleeping Beauty” sign, featuring gold text for the film’s title placed on a deep blue, gold-trimmed shield adorned with a crown.

Additionally, the base of the Prince Phillip statue – which previously appeared to consist of non-distinct brown-hued rocks – has been replaced with a more distinct castle turret look.

The construction walls remain in place, so further updates or added details to these LEGO Store statues may be forthcoming.

For a side-by-side comparison, see below for an older image of the Sleeping Beauty display alongside a newer photo we took on this latest visit.

The Downtown Disney LEGO Store is located right next to the Monorail station. Guests can shop for LEGO sets, watch demonstrations, and turn personal photos into a mosaic. It’s also the West Coast’s one and only Minifigure Factory, where you can personalize a LEGO Minifigure. In recent months, this particular store was the first in the nation to unionize.
