On Monday, December 22, Twitch streamer Clix made streaming history with the first gaming broadcast from Walt Disney World: a Fortnite stream from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Clix Streams Fortnite from Hollywood Studios

Clix (Cody Conrod) is a popular Fortnite streamer with 8.5 million Twitch subscribers. The stream — which was sponsored by Disney as part of its ongoing partnership with Epic Games and Fortnite — was the finale of his annual Clixmas event, which consists of daily streams with challenges and giveaways (usually PCs and other gaming hardware) for his viewers.
In this case, the grand prize was a VIP vacation to Walt Disney World.

Clix had his full gaming setup in Batuu front of the Millennium Falcon, where he was guarded by Stormtroopers as he played (funny since he was dressed in a Jedi robe) and explored Galaxy’s Edge, greeting fans. The six-hour Fortnite campaign stream drew 412,000 live viewers.

Disney and Fortnite

Fortnite has already received lots of content related to its Disney partnership. Just this week, Baby Groot was revealed as a new Sidekick in the game. There are also currently two Disney islands to play on, themed to Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary and Percy Jackson and the Olympians, each with its own unique quests, minigames, and rewards.
