It looks like the old guard shack at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be demolished any day now. A new roadway entrance opened at the resort in December, and the old entrance will be converted into a bus-only entrance.

The old entrance is blocked by fencing and demolition work began earlier this month. A digger is tearing up dirt and concrete.
Though the old guard shack is still in place, the flowerbeds around it have been destroyed. For comparison, below is a similar view of the guard shack from just 10 days ago.

The curbs are gone. The actual gates were removed earlier but some of their posts were recently removed.
Some of the nearby parking lot is blocked off as a staging ground for construction materials.

Work still continues between the old entrance and the new. The roadway is being reconfigured and repaved.
Crews have paved more of the new walkway leading from the parking lot to the porte cochere. The dirt areas around the walkway will presumably be filled with foliage.
