Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Adventure, will debut a new fireworks show inspired by The Lion King and narrated by Shah Rukh Khan.
The Lion King Fireworks at Sea
Shah Rukh Khan is known as the King of Bollywood and voiced Mufasa in the Hindi-language version of Disney’s live-action The Lion King (2019) and sequel Mufasa (2024). Disney Cruise Line said he will “lend his legendary charisma, unmistakable voice and storytelling power” to the show.
Disney Cruise Line is the only cruise line to offer fireworks at sea, though most shows are pirate-themed. The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky will be wholly unique to the Disney Adventure, which will sail out of Singapore.
The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky will feature classic songs from The Lion King, including Circle of Life, Hakuna Matata, He Lives in You, and Can You Feel the Love Tonight? The musical score was recorded with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and features South Africa’s Ndlovu Youth Choir.
“The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky is a tribute to the power of family and community and perfectly mirrors the magic that those vacationing onboard the Disney Adventure will experience,” said Khan. “I can’t wait for fans and families to join in this beautiful celebration of the circle of life.”

The ship’s maiden voyage will depart from Singapore on March 10, 2026.
