Disney California Adventure is celebrating Lunar New Year with limited-time food, entertainment, and decorations! Throughout the park are touches of red and gold with Year of the Horse motifs.

Guests will be able to purchase their Sip and Savor Passes at this station in Grizzly Peak, as well as at other locations throughout the park. The station is marked with red and yellow umbrellas.

There’s a sign with information about the passes and a picture of one featuring Horace Horsecollar. Horace is the mascot of this year’s festival.

Fence tables in Grizzly Peak have Lunar New Year covers. These are red with a yellow-gold Mickey icon featuring a horse in the center. They have blue, red, and gold trim.

Regular tables also have covers featuring the Year of the Horse design. Disney California Adventure park icons are on a colorful border. Some of these stand under red and yellow umbrellas.

Information columns tease some of the special menu items available and have a map of the festival. Guests can also pick up their own Celebration Guide at these stations.

As shown on the map, Festival Marketplaces are in the Performance Corridor and Paradise Gardens Park, but participating locations throughout the park have festival food. Most entertainment offerings are in Paradise Gardens, around Paradise Garden Grill.

Snack carts are adorned with Lunar New Year decals and wraps.

One cart will offer tanghulu, a traditional candied fruit.

Also in Grizzly Peak is this Lunar New Year backdrop featuring various lantern designs. At the center is a large red Mickey-shaped lantern.

The trees along this walkway between Grizzly Peak and Performance Corridor have red lanterns hanging from them.

The nearby facades are decorated with a variety of Lunar New Year decorations, as though residents of these houses are hosting their own celebrations.
As we previously shared, a Lunar New Year archway leads into the Performance Corridor.

The entrance archways to the Paradise Garden Grill courtyard are decorated with Lunar New Year signs and lanterns. Chinese lion statues stand guard in front of the archway.

In the courtyard are various signs about different New Year traditions. This triptych near the entrance has the basics of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Korean celebrations.

Other signs have information about the ancient art of Chinese calligraphy, including examples of Chinese characters.

Another set of signs helps guests figure out what their Chinese zodiac animal is. For example, anyone born in 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, or 2020 was born in the Year of the Mouse.

Traditional paper lanterns and metal lantern-inspired decorations hang throughout this space, which will house the Lunar New Year Wishing Wall. Guests will have the opportunity to share their wishes for hope, health, and happiness. They can have their wishes artistically written in Chinese calligraphy.

Red and gold string lights are in the courtyard’s trees.

This kiosk is prepared for Lunar New Year meet and greets. Paper lanterns line the roof while metal lanterns hang in the windows.

Inside is a Lunar New Year backdrop between Chinese lion statues. On the backdrop are New Year greetings in different languages.

The bandstand has “Lunar New Year” and “Year of the Horse” banners hanging at the back. Three sides are lined with decorative hanging lanterns.

Outside the courtyard, Lunar New Year banners hang from lampposts. Many of these feature Mickey and Friends in different traditional outfits.
The Disney California Adventure Lunar New Year celebration is from January 23 through February 22, 2026.
