Disney Parks shared a first look at the costumes that Horace Horsecollar and other characters will wear during the Lunar New Year festival at Disney California Adventure.
Disney Friends in Lunar New Year Costumes
Horace is making a rare appearance this year as the festival’s mascot for the Year of the Horse. He’s donning a Chinese-style red tunic with gold trim and cloud designs.
Clarabelle Cow and Goofy are wearing pink and green Vietnamese-style áo dài. Donald and Daisy have matching Chinese-inspired red hanfu with gold designs, similar to Horace’s outfit.

Mickey and Minnie will also appear in Korean-inspired outfits. Guests will be able to meet Disney friends in Paradise Gardens and San Francisco Historical District.
Lunar New Year officially begins on Friday, January 23, but had a soft opening on January 22, including the release of the Celebration Guide. It runs through February 22. Stay tuned for more coverage of the event.
