Former La Brea Bakery Being Actively Demolished at Disneyland

The Downtown Disney District building that once housed La Brea Bakery and then Earl of Sandwich is being demolished. We saw an excavator tearing down the walls and roof on Tuesday morning.

Downtown Disney District Demolition

The permit to destroy the building was approved in December. First, two nearby ticket booths were demolished. Railings were also removed and pavement was torn up.

Most of the former La Brea Bakery has now been torn down. When we left the area, only this section of the building was still standing, but crews were actively tearing the roof apart with the excavator.

Replacing La Brea Bakery is Porto’s Bakery, which will get a brand new building. A new Earl of Sandwich location is also under construction.
