Possibly Offensive Sign Removed from Port of Entry at Universal Islands of Adventure

A new mural was recently installed near the recently refurbishment restrooms, and it replaces a possibly offensive sign that was once there. The FuelRod and Pressed Pennies machines have also been moved.

New Artwork

The mural features the park icon, the Pharos Lighthouse, in bright colors with an advertisement in French above translating to: “Islands Of Adventure Grooming Water since 1999.”

The year is a reference to the opening year of the park, while Eau De Toilette is a joking reference to the mural being located next to the restrooms.

Above is a photo of the building without the new artwork. The possibly offensive sign that said “Honorable Hu Nhow Plaza” has been removed. Although not a reference to a known character, the play on words could be offensive to Asian cultures.

The FuelRod machine and Pressed Pennies machine have also moved from the location it was at previously (pictured above).

The FuelRod machine has now been relocated to the other side of the restrooms, next to the water fountain.

Pressed Pennies Machine Moved

The Pressed Pennies machine has been moved further around the corner on the men's side, nearer to the lockers.

Port of Entry has been subject of a number of recent refurbishments. The building on the other side of the entry plaza where guests can rent strollers and wheelchairs was also recently refurbished.
