Guide to Disney’s BoardWalk Restaurants

Relive the excitement of childhood at Disney’s BoardWalk, the promenade designed after early 20th-century boardwalks like Coney Island. This vibrant area includes Disney’s BoardWalk Inn as well as several shops, dining spots, and even an arcade. This guide will walk you through all of the dining options along the BoardWalk, from on-the-go quick service spots to table service restaurants.

Guide to Disney's BoardWalk Restaurants

Disney’s Boardwalk Area Restaurants

AbracadaBar – Bar/Lounge

Since people say that Disney World is “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” it just makes sense that a place like AbracadaBar would be found there. This magic-themed bar and lounge has a few light bites, but mostly cocktails, wines, and beers to add a little enchantment to your evening.

Featured Items:

  • The Conjurita – El Mayor blanco tequila, Cointreau liqueur, simple syrup, and lime juice
  • Hoodunit’s Punch – Captain Morgan’s spiced rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, and coconut
  • Parlor Trick – Four Roses bourbon small batch, simple syrup, and Angostura bitters
  • Pepper’s Ghost – SKYY pineapple vodka, habanero, and lime

Belle Vue Lounge – Bar/Lounge

Relax in this 1930s-style sitting room of the Belle Vue Lounge, where radio plays can be heard in the evening. In addition to beer, wine, cocktails, and sangria, there are tasting pours available of liquors: American whiskey, cognac, port, rum, Scotch whisky, and tequila.

Featured Items:

  • Belle Vue Cosmopolitan – Belvedere vodka, Grand Marnier liqueur, cranberry juice, and lime juice
  • Cold Brew Martini – Kōloa Kaua’i cacao rum, Tia Maria liqueur, and Joffrey’s cold brew coffee
  • Rye Manhattan – Old Forester rye whiskey, Carpano Antica sweet vermouth, Angostura bitters, and Luxardo Gourmet Maraschino cherries
  • Smoked Turkey – Wild Turkey 101 Kentucky straight bourbon, Red Stag black cherry bourbon, grenadine, and Minute Maid premium lemonade with a hint of hickory smoke, and garnished with Luxardo Gourmet Maraschino cherries

Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs – Quick Service

Home to a host of hand-dipped corn dogs, this stand epitomizes a boardwalk aesthetic. The comfortable, familiar corn dog is met with new varieties to take it into the 21st century. Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs also serves lemonade, too.

Featured Items:

  • Classic Dog – all-beef hot dog fried in cornmeal batter and served with a bag of chips
  • Deep fried Hawaiian roll – Hawaiian rolls fried and covered in cinnamon sugar and sweetened condensed milk
  • Giant Mozzarella Stick – mozzarella stick coated in garlic and Italian seasoned Panko bread crumbs and served with marinara sauce and a bag of chips
  • Pickle Dog – all-beef hot dog wrapped in a dill pickle and fried in cornmeal batter; served with peanut butter and a bag of chips

BoardWalk Deli – Quick Service

The BoardWalk Deli continues the theming of boardwalks, particularly those on the East Coast, by representing regional deli culture. Here, guests can enjoy fresh sandwiches and baked goods.

Featured Items:

  • Chicken and walnut salad wrap – rotisserie chicken, grapes, walnuts, and mayonnaise in a spinach wrap served with a choice of side
  • NJ Crumb Cake
  • NY Half Moon Cookie (not to be confused with a black and white cookie)
  • Warm Corned Beef Reuben – sauerkraut, pickles, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island Dressing on marble rye and served with a choice of side

We enjoyed most of the breakfast options that we got. We loved the sandwiches and the crumb cake. Everything was a great portion size and filling. Even in the summer weather, it was nice just to sit out here and watch the sun come up and eat our breakfast. We recommend this as a stop for breakfast on your way to the park.

Our Review

BoardWalk Ice Cream – Quick Service

Nothing says a day at the boardwalk like a sweet treat! That’s where BoardWalk Ice Cream comes in. With its specialty sundaes, milk shakes, and ice cream, this spot has all the sweet-toothed guests covered. It even serves “vintage beverages” like egg cream, cherry limeade, and tropical orange seltzer.

Featured Items:

  • Ride the Wave Sundae – three scoops of your choice with one topping (marshmallow, strawberry, peanut butter, hot fudge, caramel, or chocolate syrup) and garnished with whipped cream, toasted almonds, and a cherry
  • Shoreside Sundae – three scoops of vanilla ice cream smothered in hot fudge, marshmallow topping, and SNICKERS bar pieces topped with whipped cream, chopped peanuts, and a cherry
  • Strawberry Splash Shortcake – vanilla shortcake, strawberry compote, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream
  • Thundering Surf Peanut Butter and Chocolate Sundae – chocolate and vanilla ice cream with peanut butter and chocolate morsels topped in whipped cream and a cherry

Our review of the Thundering Surf Peanut Butter and Chocolate Sundae:

The presentation of the Thundering Surf sundae is much nicer than the Shoreside Sundae. Again, the ingredients were basic, but the peanut butter really takes this sundae to another level. It’s basically a tiny version of our beloved “No Way Jose” from Beaches and Cream Soda Shop. The warm peanut butter sauce was creamy and tied the whole sundae together. If we came back to BoardWalk Ice Cream, we would order this again.

BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas – Bar/Lounge

You don’t have to be at a Disney park to enjoy a Mickey-shaped pretzel or DOLE Whip; just head over to BoardWalk Joe’s! This lounge serves those park favorites along with a few other snacks, beer, wine, and a range of resort cocktails.

Featured Items:

  • Captain’s Seaside Sensation – DOLE Whip pineapple smoothie with Captain Morgan original spiced rum
  • Frozen Grand Margarita – Jose Cuervo gold tequila, Grand Marnier liqueur, lime juice, and sweet-and-sour; also available on the rocks
  • Piña Colada – with Bacardi Superior rum
  • Sunshine Margarita – Lunazul reposado tequila, Cointreau, and sweet-and-sour with orange and lime juices

The Cake Bake Shop Bakery – Quick Service

This sophisticated bakery along the BoardWalk is decked out in crystal chandeliers and shelves of decadent-looking baked goods. Cake Bake Shop Bakery is housed in the same building as the Cake Bake Shop Restaurant, just with fewer meal-focused menu items and more sweets and treats.

Featured Items:

  • Gwendolyn’s Famous Earl’s Court Chocolate Cake – Valrhona French chocolate cake filled with Callebaut Belgian chocolate ganache and malted chocolate cream; topped with Callebaut Belgian chocolate fudge and Fleur de Sel
  • Lemon Curd Cheesecake – lemon zest cheesecake, graham cracker crust, lemon curd, and freshly whipped cream
  • Millionaire Cake – Valrhona French chocolate cake filled with Callebaut Belgian chocolate ganache, homemade salted caramel sauce, vanilla buttercream, and homemade butter shortbread cookies; topped with Callebaut Belgian chocolate fudge, shortbread, and salted caramel sauce
  • Oprah’s ‘O’ List Mint Chocolate Chip Cake – gluten-free Valrhona French chocolate cake filled with Callebaut miniature chocolate chips, mint buttercream, and Belgian chocolate ganache; topped with mint buttercream and decorative silk flowers.

Our Millionaire Cake review:

We say if you’re going to try a slice from The Cake Bake Shop, this is the one to get. Of course, the pricing is a factor, and we’re not going to race out to get a slice all the time. But would we get a slice for a special occasion or a birthday? Absolutely. This is exceptional.

The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant – Table Service

In the same stylish aesthetic as The Cake Bake Shop Bakery, The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant is a casual luxe, full-service eatery serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This restaurant even has a posh Roses of Gold Afternoon Tea service offered daily.

Featured Items:

  • 12 Layer Club Sandwich – French ham, avocado, fresh tomato, crisp smoked bacon, oven-roasted turkey, baby spinach, Gruyère cheese, Maille Dijon mustard, and housemade basil aioli; served with pommes frites
  • Croque-Madame – country bread, French ham, Gruyère cheese, Maille Dijon mustard, béchamel sauce, and a farm-fresh sunny-side-up fried egg
  • Gwendolyn’s Signature Chicken and Andouille Gumbo – topped with long-grain white rice and chopped parsley; served with a side of New Orleans Crystal hot sauce and toasted Gambino’s French bread
  • Key Lime Pie – fresh lime zest and lime juice custard, graham cracker crust; topped with freshly whipped cream and lime zest

Our Key Lime Pie review:

This is unlike any other Key Lime Pie you’ve ever had. The lime portion under the whipped cream is so light and fluffy it’s almost like it has whipped cream in it. Texturally it’s all the same, and this is way lighter than it looks. It’s tart and not sour, and it is absolutely worth the price compared to everything else. This is better value than any of the cakes.

A coffee shop featuring Joffrey’s coffee, grab your morning brew or tea at Carousel Coffee. The shop also sells pastries and baked goods, plus portable eats like a fresh fruit cup and whole fruit.

Featured Items:

  • Crunchy raspberry danish
  • Pomegranate green tea lemonade
  • Shakerato – double espresso shaken with vanilla over ice
  • Vintage Mickey or Minnie sugar cookie

Our review of the Crunchy Raspberry Danish:

The crunchy raspberry danish is far better than we expected. The inside is not hard at all, it’s super flaky and buttery. It’s very light and airy inside. We don’t get much raspberry, it seems like there is so much glaze all over the danish sticks on the plate.

The small crisps on top are like sugar rocks. Inside, the raspberry crisps are a bit tangy and we get a little bit of the raspberry from here. It’s like a sour Rice Krispy Treat. Overall the crunchy raspberry danish exceeded our expectations from what we thought it would be. It’s a decent pastry but don’t expect a ton of raspberry flavor.

Flying Fish – Table Service

Flying Fish is the BoardWalk’s fine dining experience with elevated seafood and steaks. The open kitchen allows guests to see the kitchen hard at work as they await their meals in the vintage dining space. Leaping Horse Libations – Bar

The aptly named Leaping Horse Libations was designed to look like an old-fashioned carousel. This bar is located near the Luna Park Pool and serves alcoholic beverages, plus some simple meals and snacks like a grilled chicken caesar salad and Mickey pretzels.
