Disney and LEGO have announced the new LEGO SMART Play platform featuring new Star Wars building sets. For the first time, LEGO builds will be able to “respond to how they are played with.”
LEGO SMART Featuring Star Wars

The new system is comprised of three platform elements: LEGO SMART Brick, LEGO SMART Tags, and LEGO SMART Minifigures. They system allows brick-built creations to react in real time.

The LEGO SMART Brick is powered by a custom-made chip smaller than a standard LEGO stud. It allows Tags and Minifigures to become interactive and responsive.

These “All-In-One” Star Wars sets will be the first LEGO SMART Play-enabled sets.
- LEGO Star Wars SMART Play: Luke’s Red Five X-Wing
- LEGO Star Wars SMART Play: Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter
- LEGO Star Wars SMART Play: Throne Room Duel & A-Wing

Each set comes with a LEGO SMART Brick with a charger, and at least one LEGO SMART Minifigure and LEGO SMART Tag.
SMART features will unlock iconic Star Wars sounds like lightsaber hums, an engine roar, and “The Imperial March” theme music.
The new sets will launch on DisneyStore.com and in select markets on March 1, 2026. Read more on the Disney Parks Blog.
