Meet Panda Mei for the First Time at Disney California Adventure

For the Lunar New Year, guests at Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort can meet Panda Mei from Turning Red for a limited time.

Disney Parks announced that Panda Mei will be available to meet with guests for the holiday from January 23 to February 22, 2026. This is the first time guests can meet Mei in her full red panda form. Panda Mei will be located at the Pixar Pier Band Shell.

Other characters will be available throughout the park in celebratory garments for the occasion. Donald and Daisy will be in traditional Chinese attire, while Goofy and Clarabelle Cow will be wearing clothes inspired by Vietnamese designs.

Guests will also be able to see Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession, which highlights Horace Horsecollar as guests celebrate the Year of the Horse. Chip ‘n’ Dale will also be participating in the procession in new Chinese-inspired garments.
