Guests wandering the world of Pandora – The World of Avatar will soon see refreshed bioluminescent pavement as repainting the glow-in-the-dark details of the ground has begun again.
Pavement Repainting
The pathways in Pandora at Animal Kingdom must be refreshed frequently to revive the area’s bioluminescent aesthetic.
Since many of the plants on Pandora glow, the pavement of the world does too, as it depicts plantlife embedded in the natural dirt pathways. Crews are currently repainting portions of the pavement section by section.
Right now, crews have completed the left side of the front entrance path to Pandora from Discovery Island. We spotted green barriers dividing the pathway this morning, protecting the wet paint. We anticipate that the right side of the path will follow suit once the left side is dry enough for foot traffic.
