According to new construction permits at Disneyland Paris, the Plaza Gardens Restaurant on Main Street U.S.A. is scheduled to close for unknown work.
In a post from Instagram user dlp.works, recent permits for Disneyland Paris suggest that the Plaza Gardens Restaurant will be closing as of March 31, 2026.
The exact purpose of the closure has not been officially announced by Disneyland Paris, nor the length of time the restaurant will be out of commission.
However, according to dlp.works, the details of the permit suggest intensive refurbishment efforts that will include demolition and new construction entirely. The combined work during the closure period may take a full year or longer to complete.
A major building permit has been granted, confirming the large-scale refurbishment (expected to last minimum 1year):
Partial closure of the surrounding area
Installation of scaffolding with themed tarps on this area of Main Street USA.
Restaurant exterior & interior refurbishment (with kitchen + delivery area)
“Chariots Gourmands” demolition & construction of a brand-new stand.
Removal of Cast Member prefab unit & creation of a new dedicated facility
Demolition of the cashroom prefab & construction of a structure repositioned.
The post also notes that the closing date would strategically align with the opening of the new Regal View Restaurant & Lounge on March 29, a new character dining venue as part of the new Disney Adventure World rebrand and expansion of Walt Disney Studios park.
