A recent update to the board member roster of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District shows that no members of the original 2023 board appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis remain.
Central Florida Tourism Oversight District Board Turnover

The official Central Florida Tourism Oversight District website lists the following members of its board:
- Alexis Yarbrough (Chair)
- David Woods
- Matt Ravenscroft
- John Gilbert
- Scott Workman
Bridget Ziegler and Brian Aungst Jr., who were still on the board as of a week ago, no longer appear among the members. They were the final two board members originally appointed in 2023 by Governor Ron DeSantis.
Woods and Ravenscroft are the newest additions to the board and were appointed by DeSantis on January 14.
However, this does not mean that those on the board are not appointed by DeSantis. On January 14, the Florida governor announced the appointment of two new board members — Matt Ravenscroft and David Woods — to the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District.

The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District was created in 2023 to be the governing body overseeing the land of Walt Disney World Resort, replacing Disney’s original nearly-autonomous Reedy Creek Improvement District. Governor Ron DeSantis appointed a new five-member board, which makes decisions such as the appointment of the fire chief (who is currently represented on a barrel in Magic Kingdom).
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) released its 2045 Comprehensive Plan in June 2025, which addresses the possibility of a new fifth gate for Walt Disney World Resort.
