Rise of the Resistance is currently closed at Disneyland for refurbishment with no current reopening date. We spotted some work being done on the queues on January 29.
Rise of the Resistance Refurbishment

Scaffolding has been erected behind the construction wall to the left of the Lightning Lane entrance. It surrounds a resistance turret near the entrance of the attraction.

Along the queue, we saw cast members painting the railings black. The vertical railing poles are brown and do not appear to have been touched up yet.
The ride has been closed since January 20, and there is no reopening date listed at this time. Watch our on-ride POV of Disneyland’s Rise of the Resistance with functioning cannons:
The timeline update to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will have half the land set during the original trilogy and the other half still set during the sequel trilogy. This will affect the backstory of Oga’s Cantina, although Oga will still be the proprietor and DJ R-3X will still be spinning tunes.
These changes will officially go into effect on April 29 but guests might see some updates before then. The timeline shift has not been announced for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, only Disneyland.
