After being stuck for multiple days, Stardust Racers has reopened at Epic Universe. Both trains “valleyed,” meaning they failed to make it over a hill and dropped backwards into a valley, where they were stuck.

The failure may have been related to unusually high winds in the Orlando area on Sunday, January 18. It has been closed since.
There were no guests on the trains when the incident(s) took place midday on Sunday. The ride was closed that morning due to the weather, and team members were testing the trains without guests in hopes of reopening.

The ride has reopened as of Thursday, January 22. It currently has a wait time of 90 minutes as of 11:00 a.m.
It’s not the first time Stardust Racers has encountered this issue. A train on one track of the coaster got stuck back in March, before the park’s official opening. Universal had to bring in a crane to lift the train out of the valley.

The attraction is located in Celestial Park. Guests must be at least 48″ tall to ride. It’s open during Early Park Admission. Check out the updated list of attractions that will be open for Early Park Admission in February.
Share a race across the cosmos on Stardust Racers, a breathtaking, dual-launch coaster reaching incredible speeds up to 62 mph. Board a comet and rocket to the furthest reaches of the stars, at heights up to 133 feet along 5,000 feet of track. Race along an inverted crisscross, known as the “Celestial Spin” in a dazzling display of blazing colors and ethereal music.
